How I Train

My expert training methods help solve behaviour and communication issues for dogs such as aggression towards people or other animals. I can help with embarrassing habits, such as barking, jumping up, scratching and more. If you want an obedient dog that will happily walk on the lead without tugging, sit or stay on command, look no further, I can help you get there. Time is always a factor, and it may be a while before true permanent results are seen, or you may have a dog that is eager to learn but unable to train yourself.

I train with correction and rewards, all of the style will depend on your dog and how they respond to both methods. If your dog is super food or toy motivated, rewards are the easiest way to train, however, many dogs that go this route also will begin to only behave if there is a reward involved, and become a menace otherwise. This is where correction steps in, while we do train with treats and toys, a modest correction of a sharp "Yes" or "No" is usually a good place to begin once physical rewards leave the picture.

My certificate comes from Animal Behavior College, I am a Certified Obedience Trainer through their school and have spent many years to also call myself a canine behavior analyst.
